  • Beget, Spain Photo Gallery & Trip Details

Month: July 2018 Accomodations: Bed and breakfast stone house booked on Hotels.com – Mas La Cabanya de Beget. Shared accomodations in this 6-bedroom house. Our Favorite Meal: Although we dined at the one restaurant in the village of Beget, Can Jeroni which was a delicious Spanish lunch, our favorite meals ended up being the home cooked ones from our Air B&B host. Our Favorite Thing To Do: If you’re into the outdoors, exploring and hiking this tiny village is a real dream! Nestled in the deep woods of Girona, Catalunya, Beget feels like a lost treasure discovered. At least that’s how we felt…

  • Tackling Jetlag in Toddlers

When I was in college (sooo roughly 20 years ago, gulp!) my parents took me to Australia on a business trip. It was an early graduation present. So friekin cool, right? It was the farthest I had ever traveled away from home (and still is!) 17 hours total in the air. The other side of the globe, really. And as far as my invincible college-age nose-pierced free-spirited self was concerned, the 10+ hour time difference was exciting! I couldn’t wait to sleep until noon and go to bed at 3am each night as my body adjusted to Australian time. But fast forward to…

  • Plan for Travel Day is Coming…Are You Ready?

According to the U.S. Travel Association, more than…wait for it…768 million vacation days went unused in 2019. WAIT…WHAT?! That can’t be right. The number is hard to comprehend. Despite the fact that Americans are known by the rest of the world to be overworked and overstressed…,why the heck aren’t people using their days to unwind and disconnect? That can’t be good for anyone’s mental (or physical) health…right? We all need a break! And so National Plan for Travel Day was born. Yup, it’s a real thing! Celebrated on the last Tuesday of every year, it’s a day to encourage (even force) Americans to…

  • 4 Unique Ways to Capture Your Travels

Over the summer, we traveled back to the states to visit family as we do every August. As I was relaxing one morning at my mom and dad’s house, enjoying some American coffee and oversized corn muffins, I came across a drawer filled with DVDs. Home videos (transferred from old VHS tapes of course!) from when my sisters and I were little. As excited as I was to pull them out and show my own kids, I felt a tinge of sadness followed by guilt. My three kids will probably never stumble upon a stack of old home movies. These days, precious family…

  • Rome Italy Photo Gallery

Month: November 2019 Accomodations: 3-Night cruise aboard the MSC Divina departing Barcelona, heading to Marseille, France and Genoa, Italy, ending in Civitavecchia, Italy (Port of Rome). Lovely experience! We adored our stop in Genoa and could have spent another full day there touring around. We enjoyed it a bit more than the day spent in Marseille as there was not much to see in this port and visitors should be cautious of certain neighborhood areas. Air B&B 3-night stay at Pantheon in the Window, Rome Italy (Truly an incredible and safe location right in the city center of Rome and within walking distance…
