Beget, Spain Photo Gallery & Trip Details

Month: July 2018

Accomodations: Bed and breakfast stone house booked on Hotels.com – Mas La Cabanya de Beget. Shared accomodations in this 6-bedroom house.

Our Favorite Meal:

Although we dined at the one restaurant in the village of Beget, Can Jeroni which was a delicious Spanish lunch, our favorite meals ended up being the home cooked ones from our Air B&B host.

Our Favorite Thing To Do:

If you’re into the outdoors, exploring and hiking this tiny village is a real dream! Nestled in the deep woods of Girona, Catalunya, Beget feels like a lost treasure discovered. At least that’s how we felt as we explored winding trails, hiked up steep rocks and swam in the fresh water river.

Tips for Travelers:

If you travel here in the summer, there are tons of insects. Bring candles, sprays, bracelets – anything you can think of to ward off these pesky critters.

Also, the village of Beget is truly that – a village and nothing more. No stores, only one restaurant, one hostal, a church and several residences. Therefore, plan accordingly and pack food to cook onsite or stop beforehand at the larger town of Camprodon for an open market.

Last thing to point out, we booked this stay on Hotels.com and unfortunately had some issues finding the place! The address of the property as well as the phone number were incorrect. Turns out, the address on Hotels.com put us at the nearby town of Camprodon…20 minutes away!
